"Extra Curricula is how we apply our learning in real life"
At St Joseph’s Primary School we value the children’s talents in a variety of areas and encourage them to participate in a wide range of creative, sporting and academic pursuits.
Some extra curricular activities undertaken by our students include:
Band (Yr 3 and above) Sports Trials (Diocesan level teams)
Choir Netball and Football teams
Debating Student Leadership Development Days
Public Speaking Gardening Club
Science and Engineering Teams Lunch Club
Tournament of Minds Computer Coding Club
Our school engages professional external providers to deliver quality PDHPE lessons in Terms 1-3 each year.
Term 1 sees our students participate in a weekly gymnastics program. In Term 2 a popular gross motor program called SMASH (Skills Multi Acquisition Sports & Health) takes place with Term 3 focusing on a Dance Program.
In addition, our school hires a specialist Music teacher to teach the Music syllabus with rotating fortnightly lessons. Children are also able to become part of our school choir (Yr 4 and above)
